£14 each, with £3 going from every sale directly to Mountbatten
Each is made by hand, so may vary slightly from the image shown. Please note that this is an off-white naturally sandy/bisque stoneware, which is also slightly grainy to touch.
What do we British do when the going gets tough? We drink tea. Cradling a hot drink in our favourite mug gives warmth and in turn comfort, and this has never been more needed than now. The mug is embellished with a rainbow to one side, and a heart to the other, representing both hope and love in these difficult times.
Light your candle, make your drink and remember those whose lives have been lost, those who are in hospital fighting for their lives, and to remember each hero’s unabated efforts to feed, protect and serve our nation.
These mugs been made by Kirstie at Firestone Studios in Havenstreet on the Isle of Wight. Each mug has been thrown on her wheel, making each completely unique – there are variations, so none are the same. Kirstie has added handmade rainbows and hearts, before painting them. They have then been hand-glazed using husband Paul’s homemade glazes. They are made with stoneware which is heat, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
ALL Firestone Studios mugs here on the ChilliWinter website are made at a NOT FOR PROFIT PRICE, and with a donation from EVERY purchase going directly to Mountbatten Isle of Wight to support its pledge, as it’s normal fundraising events and activities take a significantly different approach this year, directly due to Coronavirus.
