These Tea – Light Holders are the perfect partner for your beautiful ChilliWinter Rainbow Tea – Light Candles and come in one shade of Sunflower: a light yellow/orange.
These Tea Light Candle Holders have been made by Kirstie at Firestone Studios in Havenstreet on the Isle of Wight. Each Tea Light Candle Holder has been thrown on her wheel, making each completely unique – there are variations, so none are the same. Kirstie has added handmade sunflowers and hearts before painting them. They have then been hand-glazed using husband Paul’s homemade glazes. They are made with stoneware which is heat, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
This sunflower and heart style is embellished with a sunflower to one side, making us think of the sun and the light and its power to restore, and a heart to the other, reminding us of those we love and who love us.
ALL Firestone Studios Tea- Light Holders here on the ChilliWinter website are made at a NOT FOR PROFIT PRICE, and with a donation from EVERY purchase going directly to Mountbatten Isle of Wight to support its pledge, as it’s normal fundraising events and activities take a significantly different approach this year, directly due to Coronavirus.

Mountbatten provides vital services across the Isle of Wight Community to provide care to those most in need and their families and its annual fundraising revenue is essential to its continuation. Thank you so very much in advance, for your support.
The Sunflower itself is an iconic image, and although it doesn’t have a fragrance itself, it is widely regarded for its beauty. Not only because of its naturally bold and strong architectural stature and colourful varieties, but because it is a symbol of resilience – of happier, brighter times. To quote Helen Mirren’s character from The Calendar Girls Film (2003):
“I don’t think there’s anything on this planet that more trumpets life that the sunflower. For me that’s because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky. A satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that’s such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life.”
